Matthew Cunliffe

Matt has worked for Ontario Parks since 2006. Beginning here at MacGregor as a Friends of MacGregor Point Park summer student, he instantly fell in love with the place (and refuses to leave)! Growing up on the cobble shores of Point Clark, Matt's job as a park interpreter has been a 'Natural' fit. Over the past 12 years, he has provided interpretive programs of all varieties to better connect people with the natural world and this special place. After completing the new Interpretive Strategy for MacGregor he joined the Southwest Zone office where he coordinates Environmental Assessments for projects in parks and conducts reviews of our parks’ management plans… needless to say he is quite happy to be outside with you during the Festival!  Matt is currently slated to come back to MacGregor Point in the spring of 2019.

A Certified Interpretive Guide with the National Association for Interpreters, Matt adds an entertaining spin to interpretive programs.  He makes sure that you not only learn more about the natural world, but that you have fun while doing it.
