Wild For The Arts Festival

Wild for the Arts Festival

Revitalized

September 18 & 19, 2010

Wild for the Arts is a community based cultural event that celebrates nature as a source of inspiration for creativity.  We offer a full schedule of events and activities amid the autumn beauty of MacGregor Point Provincial Park.  Featured are nature-inspired visual art and written works.

The Wild for the Arts Festival includes live music, drop-in art, dance, theatre and family fun!  A feature of the program is the Campsite Studio Tour.  New in 2010 will be a book and author fair and one day art show – each located nearby in the campground.  Visitors will have the opportunity to appreciate the arts in a natural setting.  Visual arts include paintings, drawings, pastels, collage, photography and sculpture, stained glass, decorative art, pottery, jewelry, quilting, weaving, wood work. Written works include poetry, fiction, and non-fiction; either commercially or author published.

Hikes and workshops will explore nature photography, story writing, visual arts and more!Bring the whole family and take part in scavenger hunts, the kids creativity corner, meet talented local artists on the 'Campground Studio Tour' art show and sale, and enjoy our featured performers on Saturday and Sunday.  New in 2010 will be a One Day Art Show and Sale on Saturday September 18 and an Author Sale on Sunday September 19.  Artists and authors interested in participating in this festival should check out the vendor and participant information.

Join us for this fun weekend and prepare to be inspired by nature!
