Huron Fringe Birding Festival Dates

May 28 - 31 & June 3 - 6, 2010

Welcome to The Huron Fringe Birding Festival, held annually on the first two weekends after the May 24th long weekend. This eight-day Birding and Nature Festival is uniquely placed to explore the Huron Fringe coastline of Lake Huron and the Bruce Peninsula.

Mornings are usually filled with guided hikes both in and outside the Park concentrating on not only birds, but wildflowers, butterflies and insects.
Afternoons are filled with additional hikes, workshops covering bird identification, nature photography, and enough various natural interests to please everyone.
Evenings are highlighted by illustrated programs featuring excellent speakers, night hikes and "Owl Prowls".

New this year is the opportunity to order Huron Fringe Birding Festival clothing.  All clothing orders must be received by April 15, 2010 in order to guarantee pickup at the Festival registration desk and the Festival only pricing.

    The bird reports that appear in this section are from sightings that I have made on my trips around the Saugeen Shores area including the Bruce Peninsula and counties of Bruce and Grey. We also have included sightings from local birders and the Bruce Birding Club's twice monthly outings.
